Great Restaurant Recommendations for the 2015 eWomen Networking Conference

Howdy!  I’m back today with some more helpful tips to make the most out of your trip to the 2015 eWomen Networking Conference #eWNConf this year.  One of the best parts about the Intercontinental Hotel is it’s location.  You’ve lucked out in that you are smack dab in the middle of one of Dallas’s restaurant hot spots.  There’s so much to choose from, literally in walking distance or a 5 minute ride from the hotel.

Take advantage of DFW Restaurant Week, beginning on August 7.

Restaurant week officially opens on the 10th, but many of the restaurants are having early previews the weekend of the conference.  To check out all the restaurants and their menus, click here. Be sure to call ahead and check availability and reservations. There are 2 things I love about restaurant week.

  1. It’s budget friendly for some pretty good food, imagine 3 course meals for $35 or $45!
  2. It benefits one of my favorite organizations, the North Texas Food Bank.

In looking at the list, here are 4 recommendations of restaurants close to the hotel participating in restaurant week

  1.  Chamberlains Steak & Chop House (One of the best steaks I had last year)
  2. Chamberlains Fish Market
  3.  Table 13 (live music included!)
  4.  III Forks (the quintessential Dallas icon) Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the menu to see the Restaurant Week offering.

And if restaurant week isn’t for you, then try some of these recommendations.  It’s a mix of Dallas standbys and new concepts!

Dream Cafe – Health conscious organic food.  I love the black beans and rice – yum! Reservations generally not needed.

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine – This is the younger sister to a restaurant that has been around Dallas for a while.  It’s Tex-Mex, it’s Salvadorian, so it’s not spicy – but oh so good.  Look for the black been dip and try the killer margarita’s. It’s a large restaurant, but if you don’t want to wait – make a reservation!

NeighborHood Services – If you don’t want to sit outside, be sure to make a reservation.  It’s pretty much American style food in a fun atmosphere.

HopDoddy’s Burger Bar – Craft burgers, craft cocktails and a long list of craft beers.  You order through a line, but when you are done, there’s a table waiting and ready for you.

Need some other recommendations, be sure to stop by & say “Howdy!” to me in the Grand Exhibitor Extravaganza – we will have lot’s of treats and conversation to share with you!
